Mobile Edge Computing-Enabled Heterogeneous Networks

The mobile edge computing (MEC) has been introduced for providing capabilities at the of networks to improve latency performance wireless networks. In this paper, we provide novel framework MEC-enabled heterogeneous (HetNets), composed multi-tier with access points (APs) (i.e., MEC servers), which have different transmission power and capabilities. framework, also consider multiple-type users sizes computation tasks, they offload tasks a server, receive resulting data from server. We derive successful probability (SECP), defined as that user offloads finishes its task server within target latency. closed-form expression approximated SECP general case, expressions exact special cases. This paper then provides design insights optimal configuration HetNets by analyzing effects network parameters bias factors, used in association, on SECP. Specifically, it shows how factors terms can be changed according numbers types tiers servers, are conventional ones did not sizes.
